Unit 1 Deliverable: Essay Link
What does writing and composition mean to you? Why is “media literacy” a growing problem in the world? How can we adequately address some of the growing concerns over citations, literacy, and/or artificial intelligence today? Is “new media” a good thing or a bad thing as it relates to writing and communication? Why?
Unit 2 Deliverable: Power Point Link
For this assignment, you will use your developing skills in still images, analysis, and composition to create a storyboard for a theoretical animation/film. In total, your slideshow should have at least 15 slides but no more than 30 slides as you begin to visually display your information.
Unit 3 Deliverable: Podcast Link
Record yourselves having a conversation about the topic of your choice with a theme or thesis defined as the center point of the conversation as if you are creating a podcast episode of around 30 minutes.
Unit 4 Deliverable: Video Essay
Your video essay should have a well-developed, clear thesis that displays what elements you will look at to make your argument. Then, use this thesis to guide your discussion of the scene and its elements to support your argument. What does the structure of the film tell us? How do aspects of the film comment on and define the characters and their relationships? What large-scale issues are at stake?
